good animating, needs sound work though

Funny idea, well animated, especially the facial expressions and all that. One thing ruined it for me though, and that is that I could instantly hear that you were sitting in a room, not in a car. I could clearly envision you guys sitting there having a laugh in front of the mic in your room, rather than these characters singing in the car.
You could at least have put a silent motor sound siiilently in the background, it would have done so much. And record in a studio or room with better acoustics.
Other than that, it was great. keep it up!

really good!

I thoght it was funny wen he fell on the pipe n he hurt his balls lol really good sound efects 2 m8
u shuld make more dude! work on ur animation skills a little, and u can get real gd

Kickass!

This was awesome! The camera movement and 3D are simply brilliant! The green things and the noise they're making cracked me up. Looking forward to the next one *wink wink nudge nudge*

Oh my! this is funny!

Sounds like a pretty harsh forum. But interesting. Nice animation, but the sound was a bit low on some of the voices.
But all in all, good job!

graphics are kinda bad, but I really like it!!

I constantly thought about how the graphics were bad, but after a while, I didn't care anymore. It just added to the style somehow. And that you can make fun of yourself like that shows good.. I don't know, sportsmanship? anyways, I think you should continue this series. It shows promise to be a classic.

I always thought that graphics is far from the most important thing in a flash, as long as it is entertaining. And your graphics are gonna get better, the more flash you make anyways (duh). So keep it up!

awesome

it was awesome, as well as much of your work, brian. One thing I don't understand is why you haven't submitted my all time favourite, Drunk Uncle, to newgrounds. It's the best thing you've done. that and the angrybot episodes. And what happened to hell on earth?
I think I'm gonna watch drunk uncle now. after I watch this one again. You rule.

you'd better credit firth...

Is it just me, or did you forget to give David Firth credit for character design and such? I bet he has copyright on his characters.
The flash itself was fairly amusing, but too slow at times. Shows promise, but you should increase the pace.

it's just you
look around harder

hehe, awesome music

One of the guys in the trailer sounds like solid snake, heh. And slakt was really cool too, and I went all "allll-riiight!!" when I heard the opening riffs to "LOK står när dom andra faller". Love that band, and that song. They come from my city :D and I used to have the singer on my ICQ a long time ago.
Reeeally good work there! Looking forward to castle 3.
and those who complain about you using sticks kan suga vårtig snopp.
Keep it up, man!

Get-lost responds:

I guess Jon is the snake guy :) Tack kompis!

awesome, another one!!

I realized that I never reviewed any of your work before, it's about time. And since I see you reply to some of them, I will take my time to write one.
I love blockhead, I think I've watched ep 3 and 4 10 times each! I showed it to my friend who usually doesn't watch flash, and he loved it. We went to a masquerade, with him dressed up as the "#1 Guy" (no one knew where it came from, you're not that famous yet :P but it was a success nonetheless). We ran around qouting BH, like running up to people and "HELLO! THANK YOU"'d them.
Mind you, he was dressed up as #1 guy, not BH dressed up as #1 guy.
sorry, this is a review, not a diary. Blockhead is one of my many favourite series because I simply love the voice acting of the random lines, and the facial expressions. And of course, the contrast between him and his consciense. I don't care about "the gore". If you can't stand explicit content, you shoulnd't be on NG. Your strength is in randomness and humour, but you shouldn't avoid gore just because people tell you to. Do what you want!
Keep 'em coming, but don't overwork yourself. We wouldn't want the creator of such a good series die of stress, now would we?

The-Swain responds:

I think you've gotten the purpose of the series...Blockhead is the main actor, sure, but isn't "absurdity", or "randomnss" the real protagonist here? Our friend Blockhead is like the prophet of what I like to call "The Stupid", or the collective idiocy of anyone and everyone in this world. I may think it's funny to kick over a lemonade stand, but I think it's more funny that someone could find this to be a solution to a problem. Blockhead is decently funny in Ep.1, but isn't the aggravation of the Conscience what it all comes down to?

It doesn't hurt to have an adorably moronic jackass to look at while all of this idiocy is going on. I mean, I didn't have an explanation when I started making Blockhead comics. Most of my purpose I only realized later when I stopped to think about it. You're lucky that you enjoy the randomness of it; some people who just like the character are sure to be disappointed now and then.

Thanks for finally writing me a review, too, and for telling your friends about dear Blockhead! Hope you stick around for the next release, which will be much greater (but the last one for a little while as I work on a different project).

finally!

I can't BELIEVE it! I always wondered if you were gonna submit the toast king and his friends to NG. I thought you'd get at least 4.20. This is outrageous. I hope my 5 will make a difference.
I think you guys and david firth should do something together, seeing as you seem to like eachothers work.
I'm waiting with exaltation for ep 4 on weebls-stuff.
