Holy shitcity, this made my day. Rewatched all of them, only to find a new ep was released! It was awesome in all the ways, as usual. I love how every room has a bizarre theme, lovely artwork. But I missed R1 in this one. Love R1. I posted ep 6 on my facebook wall to see how many people I could rope in. I got nothing. People are stupid to not love this. It is humour avant garde. I feel special.

good, but needs background

As you said, you had hard time with the sound, but it was not the sound effects I disliked. What I missed was a background. I can understand if you choose not to use music, but if you do that, you need to compensate with good soundwork. A background, be it wind blowing, drones, the sound of being underwater, anything. So it's not completely silent.

Since you used vast landscapes and long shots to set the mood, music or good sound would've raised the whole thing a lot more. Then the slow pace wouldn't make the viewer get bored (like i did in the beginning), but rather sucked into it more easily.

Hi, great game, tho I'm stuck: after beating the boss beyond the village, I can't find where to go. I've found most items, can't see any rooms I haven't been in cept for Throatia, where I'm still blocked entry into those rooms and bombs don't work. What am I missing, or is it a bug?
EDIT: Ah, there it is. Didn't look there cause I couldn't see that it was unexplored due to being next to save point. Cleared it now!

JuniperPinPan responds:

Not sure whats up; check throatia by the first save point near the very beginning, there should be a passage way to the right

Love this. Can't believe how low score it has compared to what it should have (like on armorgames). Hoping for more sequels!

Great game, just had to finish it. I love the original AW and this was the perfect dose.
It really felt like I was playing a rough first iteration. A lot of points for style. I like the decisions on what to cut from the original, except for one thing: the ability to join units together. It feels like it shouldn't mess with the balance too much, and since you can't, you get a lot of wounded units to control which lags gameplay on a large map with many units. They still have their uses, of course, but it would seem like a simple function to implement that wouldn't upset things.

On the minus side:
Didn't like the music too much, which was sad because the soundtrack on the original is great. That's fine though, only, it would have been great to be able to shut music off separately.
Also: I don't mind swearing at all, but it felt off that the characters did when they don't in the original game. If it was a parody then it would've been good, but everything else was such a good effort in keeping with the tone of the original, so it just felt a bit off.

All in all, great game, good difficulty level, at least for a veteran. Hoping for a sequel!
